Apps For Students

In today's article, I will be talking about my favorite apps that I recommend for students.

First is Quizlet, which is my favorite flashcard app. You can do basic flash cards. And they also have a write mode, a matching game, and you can make a practice test. Also, I really appreciate how attractive the user interface is.

Next is Forest, which is a pomodoro timer. But you can also switch up the length, so it doesn't have to be a pomodoro. It also forces you not to use your phone, because if you leave the app, the cute little tree will die and you do not want that to happen.

Libby is an e-book app that allows you to get free ebooks from your local library. You can download the books for offline access so it's great for reading whenever you're waiting around in line on public transport or any other circumstance.

Something else you can listen to when just waiting around are Podcasts, and these are a hundred percent free. I'm personally completely fine with the default podcast app, it works just great. Podcasts can be about pretty much all topics.

I'm sure we've all heard of Google Docs, and I personally really like to use this because Offline mode is a portable way to work on essays and it syncs up in real time for group work.

Duolingo is the quintessential language learning app and for good reason. The courses are well-structured and there are many language options. This can be a great supplement to any language class you're taking or if you just want to learn a new language.

Tiny cards is an app made by the creators of Duolingo and it's a flashcard app with pre-made decks mostly focused on language, but there are plenty of other topics as well.

Memrise is yet another language learning app, and this is more focused on learning vocabulary words. It uses a spaced repetition system to make sure you really remember every word.

Skillshare is another app I recommend, I do actually like it. It has courses about business and creative fields. So whether you're taking a class on this or you just want to learn this as a skill outside of school, it's great for both. The default notes app is a great tool for jotting down quick to-do lists.
