You just can't beat fresh sweet corn on
the cob. But picking all these little
bits of silk off can be a real pain in
the neck and turn a quick side dish into
something time-consuming. So are you
stuck picking off all these little bits
of silk nope, because there's a better
way. This tip comes from Margaret prickle
of West Lafayette Indiana. She suggests
using a gas burner to burn off any of
those stubborn little pieces of silk
that don't come off easily with the husk.
Just pass the cob over the flame
exposing all sides, if your cobs are
small, use a pair of tongs so that your
fingers don't get too close to the flame.
the kernels get barely heated so you
don't have to worry about cooking your
corn,
and the black and silk can just be
brushed right off.
